Sibilla Falanghina dei Campi Flegrei 2019 750ML

The Bottle: Sangiovese and Pinot Grigio get all the love, but it's the grapes of Southern Italy that have all the clout. Falanghina is believed to have been made into Falernian wine, the most famous wine in Ancient Rome.

The Producer: Luigi di Meo and his family run this small winery in the tiny grape-growing area of Campi Flegrei just north of Naples. The soil there is so sandy that the vines are ungrafted, very rare for European wines.

The Why:This mineral driven white has notes of lemon, white flowers and wild herbs. A fantastic seafood wine, but also a great aperitif. The perfect glass of white for snacking on olives and cured meats.
