The Bottle: A liqueur is made from a distilled spirit that has been flavored with either fruit, cream, herbs, spices, flowers or nuts, and is bottled with added sugars and other sweeteners. They are most often used in cocktails.

The Producer: Crafted in 1841 by Burgundian distiller Auguste Denis Lagoute, Lejay Crème de Cassis gained popularity first in France. It later became associated with quintessential French living as it spread across Europe and into the new world.
