Il Colle Brunello di Montalcino 2013 750ML

The Bottle: Brunello di Montalcino is a wine made from the Sangiovese clone grown on the hills of Montalcino, known as Brunello. The wine must be aged for 2 years or more in oak, and 4 months in bottle before release.

The Producer: Little is known of Il Colle's 1972 inception. What we do know is that they've always adhered strictly to traditional techniques: natural yeasts, no temperature control, long maceration on skins and no filtering.

The Why:This delicious red has floral notes of rose and mediterranean herbs. The palate is all luscious blue fruit along with hints of white pepper and cedar. Decant this wine if drinking now, otherwise cellar for 3 to 10 years.
