Description

The Bottle: The Russian River Valley has a uniquely cool climate, heavily affected by fog generated by the valley's proximity to the Pacific Ocean allowing the fruit to reach optimum ripeness for vinification.

The Producer: The brain child of master winemaker Jim Clendenen, Au Bon Climat was launched in 1982. Since then, the winery has been awarded numerous accolades for its Burgundian style of winemaking.

The Why:This organic red has toasted vanilla and bing cherry on the nose, silky textures open up to berry and baking spice on the palate leading to voluptuous red fruit flavors and a supple finish with a touch of lip smacking acidity.
