The Producer: With wines, altitude can be everything. The vines used for Forestero reach 1,500 meters elevation. To put that into context, the highest altitude possible for grape growing in Europe is around 500 meters.
The Why:This is a classic Malbec from Argentina in every sense of the word (except price!). Rich, deep flavors of red raspberry and cherry integrate harmoniously with the wood and spice that the oak aging imparts. Serve with meat!
